Old photos

I managed to get a lot of pictures from the 50s, partly from the previous owner Jørn Olsen, Hejnsvig and partly from Leif Petersen, Aarhus, who is the son of one of the two brothers who had the boat built.

Leif called me one day and told me that they were in Ribe and had been looking for the boat, but since it is here at home in the tent, they could not find it. I invited them over for a cup of coffee in Bramming, and approx. an hour later they were outside. We of course started with a look at the boat, and I think Leif was pleased to see the boat, especially since it looks exactly the same as it used to. We continued with a nice chat and coffee, and Leif showed me an album with lots of pictures from the 50s as well as Selma III's original logbook. It was really exciting to see, and even better; I was allowed to borrow things so I could scan it all. I also got to know a lot of things, so I will be expanding the history page shortly.

Thank you so much, Leif - I hope we can make it happen with a ride in Selma III next summer.
