Today is September 14 - now you can really feel that summer is over, and with the late launch, unfortunately, we did not get so many great days - August was quite wet. But we still managed to sail a lot, at the time of writing about 250 miles, so things have been tested. We have had many evening trips between Ribe and Kammerslusen, but also some nice trips at sea as well as a single weekend in Nordby on Fanø. But the boat will not be taken out of the water before up next month, so it's not over yet.
There have been no major problems, besides a gasoline supply problem that I have located to the water separator and a "leak" between the 2 battery circuits (all batteries are drained on consumption), everything worked as intended. All joints are completely watertight, there is no varnish damage and the hull is almost tight - the pumps runs once every 2 days.
And the dear old Volvo engine simply works like a dream; it is smooth, quiet and stable, there is plenty of power, no noise at all, no oil consumption and oil pressure of over 2.5 kg. That's pretty good for a 57-year-old engine.
