I have planned the following renovation tasks (green color = job done): Hull and superstructure: - New wheelhouse roof. The new roof will be made as a sandwich-construction with mahogany boards at the bottom, oil-hardened masonite in the middle and teak boards at the top. The roof needs to be corrected as it has sunk a few centimeters at the aft end. The new roof will have a hatch above the helm
- The corners on the leading edge of the cabin will be made rounded as they were originally
- New rounded edge moldings around both cabins
- Replace approx. 3 meters of the side deck on both sides
- The fiberglass on the front edge of the wheelhouse will be removed and the wood underneath renovated
- All fittings and windows will be removed, all varnish scraped from the superstructure, miscellaneous damage will be repaired
- The upper board in the transom will be replaced
- The teak deck will be repaired, all teak boards in the rear deck will be replaced
- The teak deck will be re-caulked
- The roof of the front cabin will be straightened, all boards will be replaced and a layer of oil hardened masonite will be put on top
- The roof of the aft cabin will be straightened, repaired a layer of oil hardened masonite will be put on top
- New rails for the aft hatch will be manufactured and installed
- The aft hatch will be renovated
- The skylight will be being renovated
- New dorade boxes will be manufactured and installed
- All wood will be saturated with Owatrol D1 and varnished with Epifanes
- Both cabin roofs will be painted white with a layer of non-slip on top
- New skid lists for the side decks will be manufactured and installed
- A new canopy will be manufactured and installed
- New mahogany handrails will be manufactured and installed
- The last rusty screws will be replaced and the hull painted
Inside wheelhouse and cabins: - All brackets and moldings will be removed in the wheelhouse, all varnish will be scraped off
- All varnish in the cabin will be scraped off
- A new cabin staircase will be manufactured and fitted
- The helm chair needs to be corrected
- The helm must be corrected
- New moldings for sliding windows will be manufactured and installed
- New moldings for windshields will be manufactured and installed
- A new cooling box will be installed the starboard side bench with the compressor under the floor
- The floors in both cabins, galley, and toilet will be scraped off, sanded and varnished
- New cushions for the wheelhouse will be manufactured
- All doors will be scraped off, sanded, and varnished
- Various doors will be repaired so they can close properly.
- The cabinet in the starboard side of the cabin will be corrected
- The interior of the cabin will be saturated with Owatrol D1 and varnished with Epifanes
- The keelson will be treated with linseed oil and be painted
- The engine compartment will be noise isolated
- Engine compartment ventilation will be installed
- A new petrol tank will be made of stainless steel and installed
Engine and driveline - The engine will be taken out of the boat and cleaned
- Timing wheels will be replaced
- The 4 mm copper plate inserted under the cylinder head to lower the compression for petroleum operation will be removed.
- The cylinder head will be checked
- If possible, the heat exchanger will be repaired, otherwise, a new one will be installed
- The carburetor will be renovated (I have already bought a complete repair kit from the USA)
- The old paint will be removed from the engine and it will be painted Volvo Penta green
- A new exhaust bending with injector will be made of stainless steel and installed
- A new Phyton or Aquadrive will be fitted
