We chose to rent a place in Kolding, so we could try sailing on the east coast. It was both a good and less good experience. We had some very nice trips and it was easy to get out sailing without having to think about lock and tide, but both my wife and I have come to the conclusion that we prefer to sail on the west coast. It is not because it isn't nice in the area around the Little Belt, but we missed the nature and the calmness of the Wadden Sea, we were tired of having to drive so much on the highway to get to the boat, and last but not least, it cost a small fortune for mooring, boat transport, and petrol for the car.


Next year we'll be back on the west coast.
